For a list of non-expedited passport acceptance facilities, visit https://iafdb.travel.state.gov/. Routine processing is 6-8 weeks. You also have the option of paying an additional $60 for expedited service. Expedite processing is 2-3 weeks. Please note, mailing times are not included in the processing times. These processing times apply to applications submitted by mail and in-person at an acceptance facility in your community. Most acceptance facilities such as post offices, clerks of court, and libraries accept passport applications by appointment only. Please contact these offices directly for service times. Many passport agencies and centers offer a limited number of appointments for customers who have urgent international travel in the next 72 hours (3 business days) for reasons other than a life-or-death emergency. Please call the National Passport Information Center for appointment.

Applicants must pay the $60 expedite fee in addition to application fees to apply at this agency. Passport Book: Appointment is free. INITIAL PASSPORT: $130 plus $35 execution fee. RENEWAL (if passport issued within the past 15 years and if age 16 or older when last passport was issued): $130. MINOR (under age 16): $100. plus $35 execution fee. Passport Card: Appointment is free. INITIAL PASSPORT CARD: $30 plus $35 execution fee. RENEWAL (if passport book or card issued within the past 15 years and if age 16 or older when last passport book/card was issued): $30. MINOR (under age 16): $15 plus $35 execution fee.

Customers who are traveling, or submitting their passports for foreign visas, within 3 days.   If not traveling, or not needing to submit your passport for foreign visas, apply at a Passport Application Acceptance Facility.
