Child and Family Counseling offered by Akin at Highlands Elementary School
Provides individual, family and group counseling for youth, ages birth through 18, and their families. Provides services at schools in Renton and Tukwila. Common issues are depression, school behavior problems, and family conflicts. Also provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment.

M-F, 9am-5pm.
Application process
Call for telephone intake, or contact school counselor. Students may self refer. Students aged 13 and over may refer themselves without parent permission.
Eligibility
Renton and Tukwila area youth ages birth through 18, and their families.
Fee
Accepts WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Private insurance is accepted. Sliding scale fee based on ability to pay. Additional aid may be available through the city of Tukwila or Renton for residents only. Call for more information.
