Helps clients fulfill the federal requirements for the bankruptcy approval process. Certified credit counselors work one-on-one with clients to develop a detailed personal financial assessment, a reasonable and manageable spending plan, a detailed action plan, and short and long-term financial goals. Offers alternatives to bankruptcy. Offers an online self-study option that meets the requirements for a pre-bankruptcy counseling certificate.

Application process
Call for a counseling appointment. Bankruptcy regulations require consumers to receive counseling within six months of filing. Clients who choose to file more than six months past the date of their initial bankruptcy counseling session will need to schedule another appointment to talk with a trained bankruptcy counselor.
Fee
$50 per household for clients above 150% of the Federal Poverty Level. No fees for clients at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.
