Provides seven days of emergency shelter for pets of domestic violence (DV) victims, since most DV shelters do not allow pets.

Domestic violence counselor or police officer must make referral. Pet owner will then be required to sign paperwork stating who will retrieve the pets within seven days, including a contact phone number.

Eligibility
Residents of King County, excluding Seattle, Renton, Medina, Federal Way, Burien, Bothell, Pacific, Algona, and Auburn, who have been referred by a domestic violence program counselor or police officer. Domestic pets only; no livestock, exotics or poisonous pets.
