Connecting with people who understand helps provide the support, encouragement and inspiration necessary to move beyond the diagnosis. Programs offered include: - Support Groups - Guided Art Discussions - Memory Cafes - Zoo walks - Seminars and forums Not all programs are available in all areas

Alzheimer's Association Washington State Chapter

Provides 24-hour education and support services for those affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Provides dementia-specific disease support groups for family members and care partners, and for those in the early stages of the disease process. Conducts comprehensive, individualized needs assessments, assists in care plan development and provides on-going follow-ups for people with dementia and their caregivers. Offers educational workshops, conferences and forums. Also offers specialized programs for those in the early stages of the disease process.
