Workforce Education offered at South Seattle College
Helps students to enter or reenter the workforce through career training, financial aid assistance, job placement assistance and academic planning. Those eligible receive funding for tuition and fees and may also be eligible for help with textbooks, required supplies, a student ID card and a parking permit or ORCA transit pass. Programs provide required tuition, fees, books and transportation. Academic planning and job placement assistance is also available to qualifying students. Workforce Education Programs include the following areas of study: - Automotive Technology (includes I-BEST option) - Aviation Maintenance Technology - Basic & Transitional Studies (GED Prep, HS 21+, English as a Second Language) - CNC Machining (includes I-BEST option) - Culinary Arts - Landscape Horticulture - Manufacturing Academy - MechaReady Industrial Maintenance - Maritime Welding - Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) - Welding Fabrication Technology - Wine Studies Funding options are available to cover Nursing prerequisite courses.
