Offers emergency food assistance to low income residents of Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula ONLY.  Also has a small clothing bank and at times may have household items. Provides services in a well-designed facility to make it easy, safe and comfortable for neighbors to: - “Shop” for a variety of nutritional food choices including more fresh food - Privately explain their financial needs or educational goals - Select gently used clothes, household items and toys - Learn about nutrition, budgeting and other steps needed to become self-sufficient. Food Bank visitors may come up to 2 times each month based on family food needs. Quantities of groceries and services is based on family size. Everyone receives food, if needed, on their first visit.

Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank & Community Services

Provides a variety of services to the greater Gig Harbor/Peninsula residents including a food bank, clothing, small household goods, emergency financial assistance for rent or utility bills, emergency transportation to medical appointments, and basic information and referral. Registered, independent, volunteer 501©3 nonprofit organization founded in 1976. Mission: “Neighbor helping neighbor in need with food and other assistance as they move toward self-sufficiency.” A volunteer led and governed organization with more than 275 volunteers and 3 part-time staff (1.5 FTE). Serves the greater Gig Harbor area and the Key Peninsula. Due to the generosity of supporters in the community, last year were able to provide 6,467* family visits to the food bank, serving 16,263* individuals, which included 5,778* children. Provided $475,767 in financial aid. And, $.97 of every dollar goes to client programs and services. *Includes repeat visits.
