They have information on drinking water systems, septic systems, hazardous and solid waste disposal, rodent control, pet waste, water pollution, shellfish harvesting information and much more. Kitsap Public Health District has protected the health of our county’s residents since 1947. The mission of KPHD is to prevent disease and protect and promote the health of all people in Kitsap County. A 10-member Public Health Board, composed of local elected officials and community representatives, governs the work of more than 120 professionals in community health, environmental health, public health infrastructure, and administration.
