4-H Youth Development offered at WSU Extension Thurston County
Teaches valuable life skills like public speaking, problem solving, decision making, and goal setting to school-age youth through hands-on, interest driven projects and community involvement. Offers a variety of activities and programs that appeal to young people from all backgrounds, both urban and rural. From computers and creative arts, to pocket pets and sailing, there's a 4-H project for any family. Youth members and adult volunteers are invited to join the 4-H fun.

Application process
Contact the Thurston County 4-H office for referrals to open clubs in your area that match your interests. The new 4-H year begins October 1.
Fee
There are minimal fees to join 4-H and some clubs may charge membership dues to help pay for club activities.
Eligibility
4-H is open to all school-age youth ages 5-18 and adult volunteers.
