Veterans' Services offered at Lewis County Public Health and Social Services

Provides a Veterans' Relief Fund that may be used by veterans or a veteran's spouse. The fund could pay up to $500 for food, gas, rent or utilities. The fund could provide rental assistance up to $1000, or 75% of the rent, whichever is lower. With proper documentation, it may also be up to $1000 for burial or cremation costs.

Eligibility

Veterans with an Honorable or General Under Honorable Conditions Discharge, or the spouse of a veteran. Must also meet income guidelines. Income Guidelines: 1 person household - less than $2,265/month or $27,180/year 2 person household - less than $3,052/month or $36,620/year 3 person household - less than $3,838/month or $46,060/year 4 person household - less than $4,625/month or $55,500/year 5 person household - less than $5,412/month or $64,940/year.
