Provides timely and accurate registration of all births and deaths occurring in Thurston County and the issuance of certified copies of birth and death records.

Fee

Birth Certificates: $25 for each ordered. Death Certificates: $25 for each ordered. Accepts credit/debit cards*, cash, check, and money orders. *Fee charged for credit card transactions is $2.00 or 2.30%, whichever is greater. *Fee charged for debit card transactions is $2.00 or 1%, whichever is greater.

Eligibility

Anyone who needs to register a birth or death in Washington State. Any resident born in Washington State who needs to retrieve a copy of their Birth Certificate. Births from January 1, 1907 to present and Deaths that occurred in Thurston County from January 1, 2008 to present.
