Home Repair/Sewer Loan Programs offered by City of Lakewood
Provides equity loans to qualified homeowners in Lakewood that have repairs to be completed or are in need of general household upgrades. Loans up to $75,000 with 1% interest and small monthly payments depending on income level, are available to qualified homeowners who meet the program requirements. The homeowner must possess clear title to the home and have lived in it for over a year. The residence must be a single family residence and can be either a stick-framed home or a manufactured/mobile home (this requires landownership to qualify). Program is designed to make general property upgrades, including: - energy efficiency and weatherization upgrades, - completing handicapped accessibility improvements, and - replacing major systems including windows and doors, insulation, plumbing or electrical repairs, roof repair/replacement, furnaces, painting, siding, water heaters, structural repairs, bathroom or kitchen repairs, ADA improvements, etc. Loan funds may also be made to make necessary sewer connections to connect to sanitary sewer main, including decommissioning costs associated with existing septic system.

Home must: - be a single family residence, - owner must have clear title to the home, - sufficient equity, - have lived in the home for a year, and - be in Lakewood. Income guidelines apply. For a family of 1, at or below $64,900 a family of 2, at or below $74,150 a family of 3, at or below $83,400 a family of 4, at or below $92,650 a family of 5, at or below $100,100 a family of 6, at or below $107,500 a family of 7, at or below $114,900 a family of 8, at or below $122,300
