Lifespan Respite Washington offered by PAVE

Provides a voucher program that is federally funded to meet planned (not crisis) respite needs for unserved and unpaid family caregivers. Respite for caregivers is provided through respite provider agencies, versus individual providers. Provides a voucher for unpaid family caregivers in Washington State to receive short breaks with a registered respite provider agency.

Eligibility

Requirements: - Be an unpaid caregiver; - Provide 40 or more hours per week of care/support to an individual of any age that has a special need or condition; - Live in Washington State; - Not enrolled in a Medicaid or other program that provides respite service, unless on a wait list and not scheduled to receive services within 30 days of application; - Unable to afford to pay privately for respite on his/her own.
