Offers an early learning preschool program and an academically enriched school age program. Open year round serving ages 14 months up to age 13 years. Additionally the Tacoma Day preschool is combined with Washington State ECEAP. The preschool program is aligned with Washington State K through 12 WA kids using: Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment and ASQ, a parent driven developmental tool. These tools allow teachers and parents to work together to individualize program for their child. If a preschool child has an IEP the child can be bused to and from their Tacoma School District partial day program and combine with Tacoma Day Preschool for a full day. School children are served by Tacoma Public Schools District 10. are transported to Bryant, Grant, Edna Travis and Impact schools Tacoma Day actively participates in Early Achievers, the quality rating system of Washington State. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at no additional cost and meet CACFP standards. Tacoma Day, a non-profit, has been in business since 1911.

Families use these services because they need care for their child while they are working or going to school. Additionally Tacoma Day is able to offer a free preschool option on site through the State of Washington for income eligible families.

Tacoma Day is an early learning, Preschool program and an academically responsive school age program. Tacoma Day serves children 14 months through age 12. It operates year round and is closed only for major holidays. Tacoma Day offers small classes and teaching teams for each classroom. Creative Curriculum is used and program is individualized for each student by using GOLD and a parent generated ASQ for assessment. We are active participants in Early Achievers the Washington State quality rating system. School children are transported by the Tacoma Day bus to Bryant and Grant. Transportation to Impact, and Edna Travis is provided by School district 10. Additionally preschool children with special needs and school age children attending special programs have transportation provided by the school district. . Washington State ECEAP/Head Start is available on site for income qualified families for children age 3 and 4. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at no additional cost through Washington State CACFP.
