The Olympia Municipal Court is a court of limited jurisdiction. Judge is authorized by Washington State Statute to preside over the following types of cases: non-traffic infractions, traffic infractions, criminal misdemeanors and gross misdemeanors, and orders for protection for victims of domestic violence. Schedules arraignment, pre-trial hearings, non-jury and jury trials, sentencing, reviews, etc. Coordinates related services including legal representation for indigent persons, probation, and interpreter services. If you received a citation issued by the City of Olympia Police Department, Code Enforcement Officer, or Animal Services for a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor criminal offense, traffic infraction or code violation that occurred in the city limits, your ticket will be filed in the Olympia Municipal Court.
