Navigation Services offered by Washington Autism Alliance

Provides families information about autism services and supports as well as guidance through social services systems to obtain diagnoses, benefits, and services. Also assists with coordinating services and self-advocacy. Meets with parents and guardians virtually to help them find providers and peers for their children and walks them through applying for services. (i.e. a child only health insurance plan through the exchange for uninsured babies and children) Offers virtual parent coaching on how to engage with their children to maximize learning, social emotional and cognitive development.

Members of Washington Autism Alliance. Families with a child or other close family member on the autism spectrum can become members.

Washington Autism Alliance

Provides pro bono and sliding scale fee legal aid in special education and insurance navigation and legislative advocacy to families of children and adults in the Autism and IDD community. Help families access effective in-schools and supportive community-based services.   Facilitates support and parent/guardian social communication portals so families of children with ASD and other DD’s can connect, share experiences, and feel less overwhelmed.
