Outpatient Substance Use Disorder Treatment offered at Blue Mountain Counseling of Columbia County

Alcohol & Drug Information School State-approved instruction fulfills legal requirements for individuals court-referred to attend an Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS). The educational, 8-hour course provides students with valuable information about alcohol and other drugs. This course may also be obtained through on-line course. The course is designed to enhance responsible decision-making with regards to alcohol and other drug use. Students are encouraged to explore the effects of alcohol and other drug use on themselves, their families and their world. DUI Evaluations: Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate treatment. Outpatient Treatment: Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires fewer than nine hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development). Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order. Intensive Outpatient Treatment: Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires 9-20 hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development). Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Application process

Individuals entering through the Criminal Justice Treat Act (CJTA) must provide a letter from an attorney, proof of income, and a copy of the citation; contact for more information.

Fee

Accepts WA Apple Health (Medicaid), some private insurance, and private pay, and Premera preferred. Accepts individuals through the Criminal Justice Treatment Act (CJTA), if ordered by the court; call for more information. Have federal block funds available, must show proof of income and if tried for Apple Health.

Blue Mountain Counseling of Columbia County

Offers multi-dimensional care, including programs in mental health, chemical dependency, developmental disabilities counseling. BMC also provides transitional mental health housing as well as 24 hour Crisis Response Services. Blue Mountain Counseling's clinical staff is comprised of Bachelor and Masters level therapists, Case Managers, a Medical Doctor, and a Clinical Psychologist.
