ESL Programs offered by Seattle Public Library at Central Library

Provides classes, computer programs, private practice rooms and special collections to assist English as a Second Language (ESL) learners.   Offers computer skills classes specifically for ESL individuals, as well as Talk Time structured conversation groups, where beginning to advanced level learners can practice speaking English with each other and a native English speaker.   Provides computer software in many languages to help immigrants prepare for the citizenship test process.   Maintains a World Languages section, focusing on Spanish, Vietnamese, Russian, Chinese and East African language materials, as well as many other languages.   Additional world language collections are provided at several neighborhood magnet branches of the Library.   Naturalization Citizenship Packets are available in 15 languages.

Provides public access to a variety of computer resources, age-specific programs, computer classes, literacy and ESL resources, world language collections and general reference information.
