Offers USDA commodity foods to low-income people 60 years of age and older, once a month. This is in addition to any regular visits to other Food Bank sites. Typical food packages include: - canned fruit and vegetables - milk and juice - grain and cereal products - peanut butter, and beans - canned meat, and fresh cheese

Application process

Interested individuals must apply through the Thurston County Food Bank. There is a form to fill out and sign. This can be done in-person or through the mail. Documents which provide age and address verification must be brought to the interview; gross household income is self-certified. Contact Berenice at the Olympia Food Pantry.

Eligibility

Residents of Thurston, Mason, or Lewis County who are 60 years of age or older and who's income falls into the income requirements listed on WSDA's website.
