Offers USDA commodity foods to low-income people 60 years of age and older, once a month. This is in addition to any regular visits to other Food Bank sites. Typical food packages include: - canned fruit and vegetables - milk and juice - grain and cereal products - peanut butter - cheese

Application process

Interested individuals must apply through the Thurston County Food Bank. There is a form to fill out and sign. This can be done in-person or through the mail. Documents which provide age and address verification must be brought to the interview; gross household income is self-certified. Contact Berenice at the Olympia Food Pantry.

Eligibility

Residents of Thurston County who are 60 years of age or older and fall within the income guidelines of $1632/month or under for a single individual, and $2215/month for 2 people (limit increases by about $583 per additional household member).
