For nearly 35 years, the Y of Greater Seattle has supported foster parents and provided individualized care to children and youth in foster care. We aim to reunite children and families and welcome LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC families, striving for inclusivity. Y Social Impact Center
The Social Impact Center empowers youth and young adults who have experienced severe trauma, including homelessness, foster care, exploitation, systemic poverty, and racism. With a holistic, wraparound approach, our dedicated team of 300+ employees met the complex needs of over 5,000 individuals in 2024, providing safe housing, behavioral health support, educational opportunities, employment assistance, and violence prevention programs. Our impact has extended across three counties for over five decades.
