Provides information about health insurance plans available to Washington state residents, including WA Apple Health (Medicaid) and Cascade Care. Determines if the user may be eligible for financial help paying for a health plan, and helps the user enroll. Coordinates an online marketplace where individuals can apply for, learn about and be approved for medical coverage under various insurance options. Offers comparisons of health plans. Qualifies applicants for tax credits or financial help to pay for copays and premiums. All insurance plans listed in the Health Plan Finder must cover essentials, including visits to the doctor and emergency room, prescriptions, maternity care and preventive care like cancer screenings and immunizations. In addition, no one will be denied coverage because they are sick or have a pre-existing condition. Most health plans are not allowed to have annual benefit limits and none is allowed to have lifetime benefit limits.

Fee
All plans sold on Washington Healthplanfinder will have four levels of cost-sharing. These are called ‘metal levels’ and include: - Bronze - Silver - Gold - Platinum The difference between the levels is based on how much of the medical costs your health plan picks up and how much is your share through copays and coinsurance.
Eligibility
Families and individuals earning up to 400 percent of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for help with paying for premiums and copays. Families and individuals earning less than 138 percent of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Special Enrollment: Certain life events including but not limited to - Getting married - Having a child - Moving to a new area - Losing health coverage may qualify applicants for a Special Enrollment period. Existing customers can report a change through their Washington Healthplanfinder accounts. New customers can apply now to check if they qualify.
