Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC) offered by Cowlitz Family Health Center at Woodland WIC

Helps improve positive health habits by providing nutrition education (individual counseling and group classes), breastfeeding promotion and support, breast pumps (in specific circumstances), monthly benefits for supplemental, specifically prescribed nutritious foods, as well as information and referral to other health programs like immunization, dental, and social service programs. Benefits are provided by paper check or card.

Eligibility

US citizenship is not required to participate in WIC. Applicants must meet four criteria to be eligible for WIC: - Live in Washington (US citizenship is NOT required to participate in WIC) - Be pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding woman, or an infant or child under age 5. - Have a household income less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). You are automatically income-eligible for WIC if you are eligible for Medicaid, SNAP, or TANF benefits. - Have a nutrition risk (assessed at time of appointment). Anyone with a child under 5 can apply for WIC, including fathers, foster parents, and other guardians.
