Business Opportunity Center offered at El Centro de la Raza
Provides small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with workshops, business development advice, credit counseling, and access to a variety of resources. Small Business Counseling: One on one counseling for small businesses focused on license application guidance, business plan development, and outreach on information for capital access. Entrepreneurship Classes: 8-week free entrepreneurship training course in English and Spanish that covers marketing, legal requirements, taxes, licensing, and insurance issues specific to participants. Food Cart Incubator: Program providing first-hand experience to aspiring food –entrepreneurs. Our incubator program offer a business operation space, a commercial kitchen, food vending carts, marketing support, and one-on-one business assistance. WMBE Certification: Training business certificate for minority or women-owned through the Washington State Office of Minority & Women’s Business Enterprises.

Low-income, minority residents of King County. The finance teller and tech training requires 18 years and older, U. S. work authorization, high school diploma/GED and English fluency.

Multiservice center offers ESL classes, foreclosure counseling and a legal clinic as well as outreach, advocacy and assistance for veterans. Also operates a congregate meal for older adults, a food pantry, a bilingual child care/preschool program, maternal health and early perinatal care, and a before- and after-school program with homework help and tutoring. Some services focus on serving the Latino community or Beacon Hill residents. Provides case management to high-risk youth to increase school involvement and prevent violence and criminal activity.
