Children Services offered at Benton-Franklin Health District

Provides various services for children, such as car seat safety checks and car seat discounted fees, Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD Dental), and Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN). - ABCD provides access to dental care throughout Benton Franklin Counties for children who have WA Apple Health (Medicaid). Provides assistance in finding a dentist that will fit location, timing and language preferences and assists in coordinating transportation and interpreter services. - CSHCN provides care coordination for children with complex health needs, assists families to coordinate care with medical providers, to access local resources for their child, and to understand cope with the child's health condition. - Car seat safety check are also provided at Kadlec Regional Medical Center, 2nd Wednesday of every month. Only by appointment.

Application process

Call for an appointment. Free car set or booster: call Daphne Gallegos to make an appointment for the installation by a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician--leave a message if there's no answer.

Eligibility

Contact for more information. Free car seats or boosters: 1) the family is a foster family, 2) the family receives food assistance (EBT), 3) the family has Medicaid coverage, or 4) the family is a client of WIC (Woman, Infants, & Children), AND the client has tried exhausting other resources (like requesting from insurance, if applicable).

Fee

Car seats are a low-cost fee for those who qualify. ABCD dental care is covered by WA Apple Health (Medicaid).
