Operates a not for profit organization that employs lawyers, legal workers, and interns who provide legal assistance to low-income people and communities in Central Washington. Deals specifically with class-action lawsuits with a special focus on employment cases for the farm workers; does not handle individual cases. Provides legal representation for eligible clients in a variety of arenas including advice and education, court proceeding, class action litigation, rule-making before administrative agencies and legislative advocacy. CLS is part of the Alliance for Equal Justice, a coalition of legal services providers. Works closely with other legal services, volunteer attorneys, law school clinical programs, and many other throughout the state to assist with a network of providers for those who cannot afford legal assistance.

CLS has recently reorganized and now maintains five offices.  CLS provides legal representation for eligible clients in a variety of arenas including advice and education, court proceedings, litigation and rulemaking before administrative agencies and legislative advocacy. CLS is committed to working in all of these arenas to assist clients in enjoying the protections of the law and improving their lives and communities.
