Archives, Records Management and Mail Services offered by King County Records and Licensing at King County Archives

Ensures the management, disposition and preservation of King County's physical and digital records in accordance with King County policies and Washington state law throughout their lifecycle. Records are in many formats, including paper, photographs, maps, and audio-visual materials.   ARMMS operates four programs: 1. Records management Program (RMP) - Provides the tools, resources, education and guidance necessary to instill records management best practices countywide. 2. Records Center- Provides centralized, secure and economical storage for the County's inactive physical records. 3. King County Archives- Collects, preserves and provides access to County records of enduring historical value. 4, King County Mail Services- Sends, receives and delivers mail within King County buildings and locations.

No appointment is required to research recorded documents, but access to all other records in our collection requires an appointment at least one day in advance.
