Homeownership Services offered at Parkview Services

Provides home ownership services to help people better afford and keep a home of their own. Program offers homebuyer counseling and down payment assistance to people with disabilities. Also offers foreclosure prevention counseling to struggling homeowners with or without disabilities. Counselors look over the documents, help the homeowners understand their options and talk to the lenders to try and work out payment arrangements.

Eligibility

Foreclosure Prevention Counseling:   -  Struggling to make payments. -  No other restrictions   Homebuyer Counseling: -  Must have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disability Act -  Must be able to qualify for a mortgage and   -  Be planning to purchase a house or condominium in King or Snohomish counties   Down Payment Assistance:   -  Must have either an intellectual or developmental disability as defined by the Americans with Disability Act -  Successfully complete the homebuyer counseling curriculum -  Have gross annual income that is less than 80% of Area Median Income -  Be purchasing a home for the first time within the past three years -  Have at least $500 saved for a down payment -  Have sufficient support services to ensure safe in-home living.
