Hazardous Waste Management Program In King County
Regional partnership of local governments works together to protect and enhance environmental quality in King County by reducing the threat posed by the production, use, storage and disposal of hazardous materials. The Program offers information and services to help 2 million residents and 60,000 businesses and other groups reduce their use of toxic and hazardous materials, safely use and store hazardous materials and properly dispose of hazardous wastes. Program services are provided jointly by: King County Department of Natural Resources & Parks (Solid Waste Division and Water and Land Resources Division), Public Health - Seattle and King County, Seattle Public Utilities, and the 37 suburban cities in King County. The agencies operate at several sites and generally are wheelchair accessible.
