Career Technical Training offered at Job Corps

Provides opportunities to gain the experience needed to begin a career or advance to higher education by offering hands-on training in more than 100 career technical areas, the opportunity to earn a high school diploma or GED, or help preparing for college through partnerships with local colleges. Resources are also available for English Language Learners. Individuals earn a stipend while in the program and must adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for drugs, alcohol, violence, and harassment.

The Job Corps program is authorized by Title I-C of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. The program has over 120 campuses across the US where students gain the experience needed to begin a career or apprenticeship, advance to higher education, or join the military.
