Senior Ride Program offered Mustard Seed Project of Key Peninsula
Offers senior transportation program organized into two distinct options: Individual Door through Door services and the Community Solutions Shuttle. #1 Individual Door through Door Transportation - Partners with Catholic Community Services to provide this service under their program guidelines - Volunteer drivers provide rides in their personal vehicles - Individually scheduled rides to medical appointments, grocery shopping and other essential destinations for pre-registered riders - Rides are scheduled 7 days or more in advance - Riders must live on the Key Peninsula and have a household income of less than $3,000 per month after deducting out-of-pocket medical expenses - Riders must be age 60+ or an adult with disabilities - No charge but donations are always gratefully accepted #2 Community Solutions Shuttle - Partners with Pierce Transit to provide this service under their guidelines - Volunteer drivers in a wheelchair accessible mini-bus - Regularly scheduled group transportation to Key Peninsula Community Services’ Senior Lunch, Gig Harbor destinations, and the YMCA for pre-registered riders. - Additional stops on the route can be arranged in advance for pre-registered riders when the schedule allows - Off-route trips can occasionally be scheduled in advance for pre-registered riders as driver availability permits - Riders must live on the Key Peninsula and there is no income eligibility - Riders must be age 60+ or an adult with disability - A minimum 25% of shuttle trips are for ADA eligible individuals - No charge but donations are always gratefully accepted For further information and to sign up for these services, please email the Transportation Manager at transportation@themustardseedproject.org or call them directly at 253-884-2216.

Call 211 for a screening and intake. Please allow 1-2 days turnaround for review and approval. Minimum of 7 days advance notice for ride requests required after intake has been approved by Mustard Seed Project.

No fee for this service - donations always welcomed.
Eligibility
Seniors, aged 60+, and adults with disabilities who have a monthly income of less than $3000 (no income requirements for community solutions bus).
