Coordinated Entry offered at Associated Ministries
Coordinated Entry offered at Associated Ministries
Coordinated Entry is a homeless crisis response system. Participating agencies offer assistance to people experiencing homelessness or fleeing domestic violence through a centralized intake. After screening/intake, a qualified individual will be able to speak with a housing specialist in Pierce County. The housing specialist can then enroll the household into a housing program through Coordinated Entry in Pierce County. Coordinated Entry in Pierce County offers different housing programs like Diversion, Priority Pool, and the Veterans Master List. If enrolled in a housing program people may be referred for income-based rent or move-in assistance. A referral depends on housing availability and the family's needs. To enroll in Coordinated Entry in Pierce County, an individual must first call South Sound 2-1-1, schedule an appointment on Associated Ministries website, or visit one of the drop-in locations (like Family Housing Network) for information and screening. If eligible, the individual must then talk with a housing specialist to discuss housing options before enrollment. The conversation with the housing specialist will usually last about an hour. Enrollment in a housing program through Coordinated Entry offers the same program benefits whether through a housing specialist at Associated Ministries, Catholic Community Services, 2-1-1, or another participating agency.
