Irma's Place - Transitional Reentry Program offered at New Connections - Pierce County
Provides a supportive reentry home for formerly incarcerated women who are experiencing homelessness for up to six months. Women are assisted in locating permanent housing, employment, education, healthcare, and other needed resources.

Application process
For those incarcerated, participating in alternative sentencing or work release programs: - Fill out an application and request that a counselor, or other staff-person, scan and submit the application via e-mail. - Applications may also be mailed using the United States Postal Service (USPS). - Applications submitted at least 2 months prior to release date are more likely to be successful. Previously incarcerated women who are currently experiencing homelessness: - Download an application from the website and submit the application by e-mail or regular mail. - Applications can be downloaded from www.nctacoma.org. Fee
Accepts Department of Corrections housing vouchers for women coming directly out of incarceration who qualify for the Resilient Reentry Program. Shelter residents pay no rent; however, regular savings are required for those with an income.
Eligibility
Women currently incarcerated in correctional institutions and those participating in alternative sentencing or work release programs in Washington State. OR Recently incarcerated women who are currently experiencing homelessness.
