Bankruptcy Assistance offered by Northwest Consumer Law Center

Offers representation in Chapter 7 & 13 Bankruptcy for a sliding-scale flat fee. Service includes: Consultation/ evaluation, preparation and filing of petition, preparation for and attendance at Meeting of Creditors, and brief advice for related issues arising during the course of the bankruptcy.    Services for related issues that arise, such as adversary proceedings and motion practice are NOT included as part of the bankruptcy package and may require additional fees.

Eligibility

Residents of King, Pierce, Snohomish, Grays Harbor, Island, Lewis, Mason or Thurston counties who are under 500% of the Federal Poverty Level.

Fee

For Chapter 7 sliding scale fees starting at $1,000, based on household size and income. For Chapter 13, flat fee of $5,000. Retainer fee: $500 - $1,500. Remainder is paid through Chapter 13 plan. $335 additional court fees and estimated $25 for required classes.
