VITA Free Tax Prep offered at Kitsap Community Resources - Main

Provides free income tax assistance to seniors and low-to-middle income individuals, beginning Feb 1st - Apr 15th. Appointments are encouraged and receive priority however walk-in appointments are available on a first-come first-served basis. *Cannot prepare returns for taxpayers that have income from rental properties, or for taxpayers with complicated business returns** #EITC Qualifications: Earned Income and adjusted gross income (AGI) must each be less than: $59,899 ($66,819 married filing jointly) with three or more qualifying children who have valid Social Security numbers $55,768 ($62,688 married filing jointly) with two qualifying children who have valid Social Security numbers $49,084 ($56,004 married filing jointly) with one qualifying child who has a valid Social Security number $18,591 ($25,511 married filing jointly) with no qualifying children who have valid Social Security numbers The EITC credit can be as high as: $7,830 with three or more qualifying children $6,960 with two qualifying children $4,213 with one qualifying child $632 with no qualifying child

Eligibility

-Taxpayers that are served- Taxpayers that can be served include all ages with income from, retirement, unemployment, Self-Employment Business (up to $25,000 in expenses, no employees, no inventory & no loss, no business use of home) and those needing to claim a wide variety of deductions and credits. =Taxpayers that Tax-Aide CANNOT serve= Taxpayers with rental income, depreciation, home office, or self employment business with a loss, expenses exceeding $25,000, inventory, or employees.
