Provides several affordable mortgage programs for eligible homebuyers throughout Washington state.   Programs offer low down payments, fixed low-interest rate loans, and in some cases down payment assistance and second mortgages.

Application process

Call or visit website for program information and list of participating lenders.   Must attend required Commission-sponsored homebuyer education seminar and work with a participating loan officer to determine income requirements and qualification for various options.

Eligibility

Low- and moderate-income homebuyers throughout Washington state.   Some programs serve specific cities and counties; some serve special populations, such as veterans, school teachers, land trusts and people with disabilities.

Works with participating lenders to offer home loans and down payment assistance to low- and moderate-income households through the state. Sponsors free homebuyer education seminars taught by local lenders, real-estate professionals and nonprofits. Also funds pre-purchase counseling and foreclosure counseling through nonprofit organizations statewide.
