Coordinates two discount programs for older adults and people with disabilities. Gold Card for Healthy Aging: - Provides people age 60+ with discounts from Seattle area businesses and nonprofit agencies, including theaters, restaurants, Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum, Museum of Flight, and many more! - Gold Card holders can receive a 50% fee reduction for both pet adoption AND licensing through Seattle Animal Shelter, as well as reduced or waived adoption and spay/neuter fees for dogs and cats. FLASH Card: - Provides people age 18+ who have qualifying disabilities with discounts from Seattle area businesses and nonprofit agencies, including theaters, restaurants, Woodland Park Zoo, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum, Museum of Flight, and many more! List of business discount programs is regularly updated online. A printable listing is also available, with quarterly updates, on our website--check back online often for most updated listings or to download & print an updated list. Cardholders are encouraged to ask businesses and organizations if they accept the Gold/FLASH Card for any applicable discounts, and if not, whether they'd consider joining the directory and offering a discount. Maintains a directory of participating businesses online.

(People with temporary disabilities may receive a paper FLASH Card with an expiration date. ) Call or visit in person for more information. Coordinates Age Friendly Discount Directory program which offers discounts from local merchants, entertainment venues, and organizations--including 100% off Seattle Aquarium, 75% off Woodland Park Zoo, $5 only entry at Seattle Art Museum any day of year, and 50% off pet adoption AND licensing at Seattle Animal Shelter (among many other discounts!)--for Seattle older adults and adults with disabilities who have a Gold or FLASH Card. The card is no-cost physical card that you can apply for online or pick up directly by visiting one of several locations listed on our website (below), including any branch of Seattle Public Library, Senior Centers or Community Centers. Online applications for Gold/FLASH Cards can be submitted at any time from a link on our website, and applicants will receive their card in the mail within 1-2 weeks. Our accompanying online Discount Directory listing shows the complete and updated listing of 120+ businesses who have joined the directory and offer discounts--with more being added regularly. Age Friendly Seattle also coordinates monthly Civic Coffee panels, in-person streamed events that bring together city decision-makers, community advocates and older adults around issues that are important to them.
