Prosecutes criminal matters and misdemeanors in Yakima County. The Criminal Division is divided into three prosecution units (adult felony, juvenile court, and district court), an appellate unit, and the victim/witness assistance unit, which provides support for all three prosecution units.

The Office of the Yakima County Prosecuting Attorney is comprised of three divisions: the criminal division, the child support division, and the corporate counsel (civil) division. Our mission is to equitably and judiciously represent the interest of the people of Yakima County and the State of Washington in the prosecution of criminal matters; to provide advocacy services for victims; to render legal counsel to County elected and appointed officials; to represent and defend the County in civil proceedings; and to represent the interests of the State and children by establishing and enforcing child support.
