Collection includes materials on many other medical problems. All calls and visits to the Wellness Resource Center are anonymous.   Assessment and HIV Testing: Health care practitioner conducts a pre-test assessment, which involves the clinician asking specific questions about patient's medical history, as well as past and present patterns of behavior which could increase or decrease risk for acquiring HIV or other STDs. The practitioner then determines whether or not an HIV antibody test is recommended and why. The test is explained, information about how to interpret test results is given and suggestions are made about ways to protect oneself and one's sex partner against HIV and other STDs.
