Character and Leadership offered by Boys & Girls Clubs of King County at Smilow Rainier Vista

Offers programs that develop leadership and citizenship skills.  Also offers Torch Clubs, which are chartered small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 11-13.   Torch Club members elect officers and work together to plan and implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community, education, health and fitness, and social recreation.   Torch Club awards are presented annually to Torch Clubs with outstanding programs and activities in all four areas.  Also offers Keystone Club for members in grades 9-12.   Teaches skills and values to be used as they continue to mature.  Activity planning, fundraising and community involvement are stressed in bi-monthly meetings.

Office: M-F, noon-6pm. After School Program: M-F, 2:30-6:00pm.

Fee

Memberships are $50 per child per year.   Scholarships and discounts are available upon request for those that qualify.

Eligibility

Youth, grades one through 12 (ages 5 through 18).
