Youth Firesetting Prevention offered by South King Fire & Rescue's Station 62 & Headquarters
Operates "Fire Stoppers," a program for families who: - Have a child who has played with fire - Have a child who has deliberately set a fire - Would like to teach their children about fire safety and the consequences of fire. A fire department educator meets with individual families, discusses situations and makes recommendations for further education or counseling.

Fee
No fees for education sessions. Counseling does require some fees, but financial assistance may be available.
Eligibility
Youth ages 17 and younger who are residents of the cities of Federal Way and Des Moines and the surrounding area. A parent or guardian must also attend sessions.
