Information Specialists assist patients and their families through treatment for blood-related cancers. Information Specialists are Master's-level oncology social workers, nurses, and health educators that offer the following services: - Provide information about treatment options; - Search for clinical trials and help you develop a list of questions to ask your doctor about participating in a clinical trial; - Help you communicate with members of your health care team; - Provide educational materials; - Connect you to national resources and connect you with a staff member at your chapter to guide you to local programs and resources.
