Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) offered at Walla Walla County Department of Community Health
Access to Baby and Child Dentistry (ABCD) offered at Walla Walla County Department of Community Health
ABCD focuses on increasing access to preventive and restorative dental care for Apple Health (Medicaid-eligible) children from birth to age six. ABCD connects families with trained dental providers, who know how to care for babies and young children, and educates caregivers about how to take the best care of their oral health. By connecting families with dental providers, it ensures that the youngest and most vulnerable children have access to dental care that promotes positive lifelong oral health habits to help them avoid cavities, tooth pain, and high-cost dental interventions later in life. At ABCD we like to highlight an emphasis of accessing dental care by age one. After establishing with a new dental home, visits to the dentist should be scheduled every 6 months. For more information about eligibility, benefits, and how ABCD can help, please visit our website or call the phone number listed.
