Diabetes Prevention Program offered by Washington State University Vancouver at Extension and Heritage Farm
Class series helps participants adopt the healthy habits needed to prevent Type 2 diabetes. Trained lifestyle coaches lead classes to help participants make better food choices, increase physical activity, and learn coping skills to maintain weight loss and healthy lifestyle changes. Call or email to find out more information about class times and locations. Classes are typically held three to five times per year. Registration is required.
Fee
$450 for the one year class series. Funds in flexible spending accounts can be used for these classes. Some insurance carriers cover program including Medicare.
Eligibility
Individuals 18 and older who have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes or are at high risk for developing type 2 diabetes.
