County Pet Licenses/Senior Discount offered at City of Redmond

Authorized to provide King County pet licenses to pet owners. Benefits of a pet license:   - Found pets are reunited quickly with their owner -  Pet gets a free ride home the first time it is found -  Vacation Pet Alert can notify owners if pet gets loose during a vacation

Application process

Fill out application online or visit a licensing location, including city offices. Call for more information. Visit website for all licensing locations. In summer and fall, King County canvassers also sell pet licenses door to door.   

Eligibility

No restrictions for pet licenses. King County pet licenses are required for all dogs and cats 8 weeks of age or older in most areas of the county. For senior or disability discount: - Pet owner must be age 65 or older or have a disability. - Pets must be altered. For service animals: - Owner must give statement that animal is a trained service animal. - A service animal is any animal that is trained or being trained to aid a person who is blind, hearing impaired, or otherwise disabled and is used for that purpose and is registered with a recognized service animal organization.

Annual license fees: Unaltered dog/cat: $60   Altered dog/cat: $30 Senior/disabled: $15 Service animal: Free
