The YIU is a 10-bed Kitsap Mental Health Services inpatient facility that provides evaluation and treatment for youths ages 12-17, who may be experiencing severe emotional and behavioral disturbances. The unit's purpose is to provide an emotional safe space for clients to achieve psychiatric stabilization and gain practical tools to help manage their mental and emotional health.
