Advocacy Services offered by Washington Autism Alliance
Legal Advocacy: Offers coaching services to assist when self-advocacy and family navigation fall short in securing health care and special education services. These coaching services assist families in navigating health care and special education challenges effectively. Legislative Advocacy: Collaborates with and holds accountable health care and education service providers as well as legislators on laws and regulations that support equitable and comprehensive access to health care and education for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ASD/IDD).

Legal Services are offered at a sliding scale fee to members. Membership is free.
Eligibility
Members of Washington Autism Alliance. Families with a child or other close family member on the autism spectrum can become members.

Washington Autism Alliance
Provides pro bono and sliding scale fee legal aid in special education and insurance navigation and legislative advocacy to families of children and adults in the Autism and IDD community. Help families access effective in-schools and supportive community-based services. Facilitates support and parent/guardian social communication portals so families of children with ASD and other DD’s can connect, share experiences, and feel less overwhelmed.
