Provides medical benefits for individuals and families with limited incomes. The following health care services are covered by WA Apple Health (Medicaid): -  Appointments with a doctor or health care professional for necessary care -  Medical care in an emergency -  Maternity and newborn care -  Mental health services -  Treatment for chemical or alcohol dependence -  Pediatric services, including dental and vision care -  Limited dental and vision care for adults -  Prescription medications -  Laboratory services -  Hospitalization -  Transportation to and from medical appointments, when necessary -  An interpreter for your appointment, if you do not speak English (arranged through your provider)

Application process

Fee

None for adults under 138% of the Federal Poverty Level and children in families under 200% of the Federal Poverty level.   Families with children at an income between 200 and 300% of the Federal Poverty Level pay a $20 or $30 a month premium per child.

Eligibility

Adults and families who are at 138% of the Federal Poverty Level who are not eligible for Medicare. Undocumented immigrants are eligible for emergent conditions only if they are otherwise eligible for Apple Health.   Cannot be currently incarcerated. Covers children only in families with income up to 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. Covers pregnant/postpartum women up to 193% of the Federal Poverty Level.
