Classes and Support Groups offered by Akin's North Seattle Family Resource Center

Offers parenting education, including Kaleidoscope Play and Learn parent/child activity groups. Other classes include: - CPR for infants/adults - Life Skills - Computer Literacy - Financial Literacy - Cooking and Nutrition - Talk Time English Conversation - K-12 Tutoring Also offers Youth Empowerment Workshops. Offers support groups and workshops for Latino families.  Facilitates support groups to increase family's social support and decrease family isolation.   Also offers family advocacy, application assistance along with information and referral to a variety of other services.

Akin's North Seattle Family Resource Center

Multi-service family support program offers parenting education and classes, parent support groups, Play & Learn parent/child activity groups and advocacy and support for families. In addition, Talk Time English Conversation classes, WIC nutrition services and First Steps services. Provides food, baby food and used children's clothing as available. Provides benefit screening on site including health care enrollment and ORCA LIFT cards. Offers computer access, life skills classes and employment and education resources as a WorkSource Connection Site.
