Running Start offered at South Puget Sound Community College

Offers high school students the opportunity to take college courses while in high school, significantly reducing tuition costs and allowing them to complete their associate degree ahead of time.   Includes transportation for students from Yelm and Rainier High Schools.

Application process

Begin by attending on-campus info session and applying to SPSCC online to receive a Student ID (SID) Number.

Eligibility

Currently enrolled high school junior or senior.

Fee

Running Start students may apply for a Fee Waiver if they meet the income criteria for free/reduced lunch, receive TANF, minor SSI benefits, or meet the USDA WIC program criteria.
