University Education offered at University of Washington

There are 17 colleges and schools at the University of Washington (UW) Programs of study include architecture and urban planning, business administration, dentistry, education, engineering, environment, law, information, liberal arts, medicine, nursing, ocean and fishery sciences, pharmacy, public affairs, public health, and social work. The University library system has more than five million volumes and consists of the Suzzallo Library, the Odegaard Undergraduate Library, the Health Sciences Library and 18 branch libraries. The University of Washington administers more than 40 social and health programs. Some of these programs include University of Washington Medical Center, Children’s Hospital and Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center. UW also has a branch in Tacoma and one in Bothell. All child care is fee-based.

Bldg, AD-10, for application procedures. Applications are from individual depts; fee: $85. Law students: LSAT exam is required. Application due to LSAC by Dec. 1st. Send application before Feb. 1st to Law School Admin. , 316 Condon Hall, JB-20; fee: $60. Medical students: MCAT exam is required; applications are due to AMCAS before Nov. 1st. Send additional application materials to Medical School Admin. , SC-64; fee: $35. Dental students: Applications are due to DAT by Nov. 1st. Fee

Quarterly, full-time resident tuition for undergraduates is about $12,645 per year. Non-resident tuition is higher. Financial aid is available. Child care is fee-based.

Eligibility

In general, admission is based on scholastic standing, test scores and adequacy of preparation. Consult the University of Washington catalog or individual departments for more specific criteria.
